Just bought new 360. Question help!

I just bought a referbished 360 to replace my broken one. The only thing I specified was that I wanted one with hdmi. I got home and opened it, and the disc trey was white instead of silver. I apparently got an arcade system, and at the time I purchased itI was unaware that the arcades had white treys and eject buttons. I thought the only difference was that they lacked hard drives.I am a bit picky, and want one with a silver trey. Is there any thing I can do?... I bought it from gamestop, and went back to see if they could exchange it and they said that I could not unless there was some manufacturing problem.This may seem like a small thing to some, butI want silver! Any help is welcomed!Just bought new 360. Question help!

There really isn't anything you can do. Honestly the white tray is not that big a deal. I can understand your nitpickiness, but let this one go. Is the effort to either exchange this console somehow or even replace the drive itself, which I'm sure you probably considered, worth it to have a silver tray that you won't even really look at? Get a goofy faceplate or something.
You could try picking up those skins that you can put on your consoles. I think they also cover the tray. It may not get you a silver tray, but you might be able to have a console that looks the way you want it to.
I bought an Arcade to replace my Premium 360 (which I gave to my brother who is now selling it for $125) and I didn't like not having the chrome tray at first. However I must say that after awhile you really don't even notice it anymore. I actually think it works better for me because I couldn't stand having fingerprints all over my disc tray, now I just have to make sure I have clean hands and the white looks great.

I still would like to get an Elite, but money isn't working in my favor for that ATM. :P

I understand what your saying, but I have to chalk this problem up to microsoft... If they didn't change the looks between the versions then I wouldn't have a problem! I guess i'll let this go, but wish I didn't have to.

Be honest, this is about you not wanting your friends to know you have a chinsy arcade lol.

Chinsy arcade? My arcade is BEAST. Only because I bought one to replace my twice refurbished Pro that was starting to kick the bucket after the 3 year warranty was up. I have HDMI, 256 MB of internal memory and a 120 GB HDD that I upgraded to. So it's like I have an all white Elite.

No I just went out and bought it. I got my Pro on launch day way back on November 22, 2005. Still remember that night. Anyway, it RRoD'd on me about 4 months after launch and that refurb RRoD'd on me about a year and a half after that. Then almost 2 years after that, my second refurb, (I guess that would be my third console) was starting to act funny and I was already past my 3 year warranty. So I just bought an Arcade a few months ago.
