Avatar Marketplace=Waste of Money

I think it is lame that you have to pay money to buy virtual clothing. Why not have a unlock system where a certain amount of gamerscore unlocks stuff. Or get a certain number of achievments, or just make it all free/ you get avatar clothing for just buying certain games. There might be another topic asking this, but how many people actually bought stuff?Avatar Marketplace=Waste of Money
well you're not the only one to think this. and they do have the avatar awards. just there aren't any games other than splosion man to have one. and no one is making you buy anything so i guess i don't see where the problem really is. i only buy anything like that if i have extra points and nothing to buy. other than the mass effect suit and the light saber i have because i love mass effect and star wars so.Avatar Marketplace=Waste of Money
They have an unlock cothes system, just no games that give away clothes yet (except splosion man. but I heard of a problem with it?). It is overpriced for marketplace clothes. Nothing we can do about it. There were many topics about clothes being overpriced. Just not recently.
You can unlock avatar clothing in certain games. As for the clothes on the market place, just don't buy it. You're not missing out on anything.
It's only a waste of money if you A.) Don't put any value into the items, and B.) Spend your money on them anyway. If you do find value in the Avatar items, then it's not a waste of money. If you think it's ridiculous that someone would buy ''virtual clothing,'' then I respond that everything in games is virtual. Some people consider this entire hobby a waste of time. I disagree.
I still really wouldn't care about it if games unlocked certain items. Don't need extras, just need games.
I bought the Lightsaber and some other stuff and my Avatar is so AWESOME!!!!
I think the idea of the clothing and stuff is cool, but I think they are ripping gamers off. I would say gaming is no more pointless than any other entertainment hobby such as Watching Sports.
I think it's a cool idea but I'm not spending real money for avatar stuff. If your into that, then cool. I just want them to get the ball rolling for the avatar awards already. If it's free then it's for me.

I agree. Paying for clothes for your avatar is a waste of $$$ imo.

I was thinking about get the guitar hero 5 guitar for my avatar cause i have about 285 points to use and nothing to buy. Im just not sure tho if i want to waste my points on it.
Honestly, if you don't like them, don't buy them. As for the unlockable stuff, MS plans on implementing the Avatar Awards stystem in the future. Splosion man does have avatar awards but since MS has not implemented them they are not available.
anyone who wants to spend real money on avatar items probably deserves them.I wonder how long before you'll be able to send your avatar on expensive dates with others?

I think the avatar market place is way overpriced. I refuse to buy anything from there.
I agree it's lame, butI bought a Mass Effect t-shirt for my avatar anyway!
