No it does not, I have found that in my time of gaming HDMI cables all work the same. I believe the only way of getting a better picture is a better Tv, Hope this helps.

As far as I know, all Xbox 360 games are displayed in 720p. Therefore there really shouldn't be significant differences between HDMI and Component in terms of visual quality. As for audio, I'm no pro, but I think that HDMI transmits digital audio signals to your TV. However, you could get the same result while using the Component cables if you were to hook up your sound system via optical audio/toslink. Keep in mind that chances are, your standard TV speakers won't do justice to digital audio, so if you wanted to get high quality audio and video out of HDMI, you'd need to run it through a receiver, then to your respective HDTV and surround sound setup.
