Please answer these two questions.

Hello I was wondering how you would know a Xbox has Jasper chipset and how reliable is it now that it has been out over a year. Also my Halo ODST would go unreadable before the first mission started (I tried off of LIVE, installing to HDD and it still happened at the same place) but then I put it in my roommates Xbox and it went into the first mission (I didnt play it but it got past the part I couldnt). Also my GTA 4 froze after 20 minutes (off of LIVE). Is it my discs, HDD, or my lens? What is causing this? Someone please help. Please answer these two questions.
Is your 360 vertical or horizontal? Something seems wrong with the lens. Please answer these two questions.
it is horizontal. it was vertical for the longest time though. But also when I installed Madden to my HDD (vertical and horizontal) it would go unreadable too. Disc(s) or HDD?

And how do I know it is a Jasper set?
I believe its on the 360's box?

The chip wouldn't affect this.
It is the disc drive? Can I fix this or something?
Not on your own. Call microsoft and try to fix it with out voiding the warranty(though i don't know if this covered).
It isnt I have to pay 100 dollars so i might as well get a new 200 xbox that i know is good. I just dont want to buy anything if it is my disc or something and not the xbox. So how do you know a Xbox has Jasper chipset?
I'm not an expert when it comes to this. I heard it has to do with manufacture dates on the sticker of the console. I also remember something about team names of the chips are on the box it came in.
look at the power consumption on the power brick, if the output is 12.1 A then it is a Jasper
