There is a new $50 dollar mail in rebate for anyone who buys a xbox elite from sept 22 through oct 5...this seems like a great thing to do, but if u actually think about it i bet there are a bunch of upset people..why you ask??A lot of people were waiting to purchase a new xbox when the rumored price cut to 299would take place, either bc they had a broken one or they had not yet purchased one... so whenpeople hearda rumor of the elite dropping in price they waited to purchase one...the day it turned 299 im sure a bunch of people bought one thinking they got a great deal (which they did sort of)...now only 22 days later basically they are offering a 50 dollar rebate, and all the people who had waited to buy a new one just got hosed out of 50 bucks...microsoft knows they wont have to shell out to many of these rebates bc a lot of ppl who were in the market to get a 360 lately already bought one 3 weeks ago...F U microsoftis MS intentionally tryin to upset peopl ...

All reputable stores have 30 day return policiesBuy a new 360 and return it with the old slip then use the new slip to take advantage of the rebatePerfectly within the rulesI don't understand anyone being upset of them doing this within the 30 days since the dropThere is no excuse to be angry
I'm not crazy mad about it but I have almost the exact issue except mines this:I recently put money down on the MW2 250 gig 360 deal thinking that for the extra $100.00 I was getting1. the MW2 game2. 130 gb of extra space3. an extra wireless controllerI rationalized out in my mind that it was indeed worth the extra $100.00. One day later they drop the price on the elite another $50.00, now i'm left trying to rationalize the stuff listed being worth an extra $150.00.Yes this is how sales happen, but honestly I waited for the elite to go down to get one. Then it does go down and they release almost simultaniously release a MW2 deal that puts me right back up to $400.00 but worth it. Then they pull the rug out from under there just reduced elite cost by lowering it another $50.00 for a limited time.I can't win.

no...MS isn't intentionally tryin to upset people...they tryin to please people. $50 rebate? that's $250 for an elite...people would be happy for that

Smart business is what it is, yea to us consumers it's annoying. But you would do the same thing.
