Is ODST worth the $60?

Yeah I was just wondering is Halo 3: ODST worth $60 just for Halo 3 multiplayer? I never officially owned Halo 3, but I did play some multiplayer at a friends house and from what I played of it. I really enjoyed it. I wanted to buy Halo 3, but just never came around to it. Now since Halo 3: ODST is out with Halo 3 multiplayer do you think it's worth it, or am I just wasting my money? Is ODST worth the $60?
very worth itIs ODST worth the $60?
very worth it
What he said. The campaign is excellent,I havent tried firefight but every body who has is loving it.TC if you havent played the previous Halo games its worth your time and money to do so.Play them in order.
Short answer: HECK YES!!!!! Ok so I bought Halo 3 full price and 2/3 map packs full price and now I bought ODST full price. Was it totally worth it YES! Now considering you never spent money on the map packs or halo 3 alone, this is a GREAT deal. You will be overwhelmed(in a good way) with all the maps, firefight, and great campain.
If you've been playing Halo 3 for the last year, then I could see why you wouldn't think that this is a very good value. I kinda feel that the game should be priced a bit lower, but the fun I am having in fire fight is making it really hard to complain.
For people like you and me who never got around to purchasing Halo 3, it's a pretty awesome package. For those that did get Halo 3, its value is debatable, but so far the majority of feedback from 3 owners (at least those who have done their research) has been positive.
Nice. I guess this and LFD2 are good reasons to get me to play my xbox 360 again.
Worth a rent not a buy unless you wanna play the new multiplayer maps the campaign can be beat by your self on heroic in under 5 hours so buy at your own expense
If you already have Halo 3 then NO its definitely not worth the price of admission lol...you can't pay $60 for a 6 hour campaign and a carbon copy of DLC content you already had, if you don't own Halo 3 then It's worth the full $60 easy.
very worth it
you are in the best condition to get your $60 worth, why? because most owners of ODST already have Halo 3 (myself included) so in your case you get, ODST campaign, Firefight mode, Halo 3 Multiplayer and all DLC with no install
just to let you guys know they sell a new copy of halo odst for $51.99 at Costco. Or you can check their website and buy it from their with free shipping
If you don't have Halo 3 there's no question that ODST is worth the money. If you do have Halo 3 then it becomes debatable in my mind, especially if you already have all or most the DLC.
Yeah, especially if you haven't played Halo 3 MP and want to, it's a great deal. I own Halo 3 and I still got ODST, but I just love the Halo universe and enjoy the games. ODST has a slightly different feel that I enjoy over the other games, so I would have to recommend it. Firefight can be a blast too, but get ready to try and find people yourself!
not really worth the money. Even if you never played halo 3, the campaign in halo 3 is a lot better than the odst missions.
It's worth it.
For me it is. I don't have Halo 3, so all the maps and DLC is a good deal for me. I can see how people who have owned Halo 3 and bought all the DLC would think poorly of it though.

I dunno, the ODST missions were pretty fun (right now I am playing my third, it being the part with the Scrorpion, can't remember the dudes name and it sucks). The H3 campaign was just longer, so I guess it had more room for variety and such.
You'll get opinions from both sides, but there are way too many Halo fanboys.I'm against it. Everyone who has played it agrees that it's not an up-to-date game (graphic AND duration-wise), it's short, doesn't innovate -- the only additional feature is the Firefight mode, but you've got better versions of that (Horde?). Everyone adds that it could've gone as an exalted DLC (i.e: Shivering Isles, 2400 MSpoints), and I agree.Thing is, sixty bucks can add up to a much better bundle of games than a glorified expansion pack.
it is. amazing campaign and firefight is great! plus, you get the entire Halo 3 multiplayer component with it :D
