Bungie doesn't care about Halo franchise ...

Is it me or is Bungie trying to kill off the Halo franchise. Halo 1 was an amazing game, Halo 2 was a great game, Halo 3 had awesome gameplay but as a single player experience it wasn't very good. Halo 3 ODST's campaign mode is absolutely terrible. The graphics are pretty abysmal for a next-gen game as well... I seriously think Bungie is trying to make a crappier and crappier Halo and see if people still buy it. They had mentioned before they are tired of Halo and it seems reasonable that they just want to re-use the amazing gameplay in numerous sequels without putting any effort into the actual story/presentation. It's really disappointing because Halo 3 could have been such an epic game.... don't get me wrong, the gameplay was awesome, multiplayer is top notch, the recordings is a really nice feature, forge is cool and 4 player co-op is awesome. Its just that with all the hype and money behind the game I wanted an epic campaign and top of the line graphics.....the campaign was so hashed together and uninteresting....towards the end there was actually a ''cutscene'' where they literally just shoved in a hand-drawn picture...WTF??? Similarly, the start of Halo 3 ODST, they scrolled some text on the screen talking about the war between man and covenant...could they have put together an awesome cutscene showing some of the battles? Where is the presentation??!!! Sorry if I'm ranting...I'm just so disappointed knowing how awesome Halo 3 and even ODST could have been....Bungie doesn't care about Halo franchise ...
Bungie is done with Halo after Reach but that doesn't mean Halo is over with for good.Bungie doesn't care about Halo franchise ...
Obviously there not trying to kill it off, its a company and they want to make money. However they've took it too far.
Halo is seriously stale now, and they carn't find many more ways to build on it, hence the $60 price tag for a DLC.
I'm no fan of Halo...but all of this is kinda irrelevant because year after year Halo 3 and soon to be ODST is always one of the most popular online game on the 360 and is always guaranteed to be a best seller, soooo.:?
You forgot to mention Halo Wars.

well judging by how many people still play halo 3 u can't see a reason why they would deliberately destroy a profitable and well loved franchise? And for the record i think ODST is great :)

i don't think you've actually played the opening screen is actually the drop its self. which has awesome graphics. infact the graphics in my eyes are totally awesome if a litlle jaggy but still AWESOME. remember its has never been plugged as a FULL GAME. so i didn't expect much game play wise. buts overall presentation in game has gone up dramatically. whict great action packed cut scenes rather than drab talking. ps you didn't play the gam did you
i actually have odst unlike most people and i can honestly say this is one of the better halo games it has nice balance and it's nice to feel human again and not invincible
They need to either expand the universe and go into some serious depth (deeper story, less pink and purple cartoon-y graphics, etc.) or come up with a different game series. Regardless of what game series it is, if downloadable content is $60 that is criminal. Anybody that cares about driving the market to better things should refuse to buy it at such a high price tag. That is how capitalism works folks, you don't have to buy it and if the developer really wants you to buy it they will give you incentive to do so (lowering the price tag, opening up some of the source, removing DRM limited activation nonsense). Problem is is that so many people (myself included sometimes) don't have the patience to wait any longer for ''x'' product. Additionally, people get the mentality that as one person they can't really change a whole lot. Fact is if everyone said ''no, that is too expensive'' and didn't buy it the developer would be forced to lower the price.
No offense, but that's an absolutely absurd claim. Every Bungie-developed Halo title has been 9.0+. If you don't like the franchise, or a game in the franchise, then that is your choice and personal opinion, but they've certainly ''cared'' about the franchise from Halo: CE to Halo 3: ODST, hence the 9.0+ scores on Gamespot. Btw, the ODST single player campaign is immersive and breathtaking.

But I have so much money, I don't even know what to do with all of it. I'm so effin caked up, it's ridiculous. Fire fight is pretty terrific by the way.

Everybody in the world wants to make money and will do almost anything to squeeze a couple of dollars outta you. Just take the Fable 1 to Fable 2 transfer. Fable 1 was epic on so many levels and then they acted like Fable 2 was going to be 3,000 times better than the first. Obviously it wasn't and it just kinda had better graphics and a little more side ''to do'' stuff. Then look at how much they made with the immediate sales of it. EVERYONE wanted to buy the game and it was a disappointment to most gamers. And now idk if I wanna even buy Fable 3 when it comes out in the near future just because I don't wanna blow 70$ on something not as awesome as everyone was saying it was. But I'm glad Halo is going downhill... it'll give more people to talk about another game. I just hope the people that made GOW 1 %26 2 do the same thing as Bungie and Lionhead did. :D

Bungie didn't make Halo wars.
Halo 1 was the only really good halo imo. I could tolerate 2 and 3 but they just weren't that great imo. I enjoyed 2 and 3 online with buddies for a few days but not much after that.
judging by the 1st few posts people only seem to care about the graphics, and they thinks its bad based on that. The game is fine, but you really shouldnt be graphics whores. Geta PC, and then you can see what good graphics are.

You forgot to mention Halo Wars.
Bungie didn't make Halo wars.
In fact this game you speak of never existed. Okay? It is a stain on the Halo franchise as I see it. But thats just my opinion, and some people probably enjoyed it. But I love every Halo game equally, I think they're all great in graphics, story, gameplay, and everything else. I can't wait to see what they do with Reach.
Halo 3 had awesome gameplay but as a single player experience it wasn't very good.
Really? I thought the single player campaign was really good. Every level (apart from the flood cave) was fun and varied in terms of their environment. The coop also worked well.
