Impossible...EA is bigger than you think, there are so many different branches to that company, also they would be losing money if they had to hold exclusivity to Microsoft only, they make more cash selling to all consoles.
It's possible, but that would be almost like shooting themselves in the foot.Some of you guys don't understand that the competition between MS,Sony and Nintendo is what keeps the quality level high. Look at what happend when the NFL sold the exculsive rights to the Madden series and knocked 2K sports out of the picture!!! Every single Madden game has been total garbage since then. IF MS bought EA, it would be the beginning of the end for console gaming!!!:(....I think that might have been a little to dramatic but you guys get my drift!!! lol

See thats where I go when I think about this. MS would in effect own so many licenses it may very well end the console war. EA has bought so many developers over the last 6-7 years that 3rd party would shrink a good 30-40%.While Developers may disband and form new companies MS would still in effect OWN the licenses and be forced to sell them to developers with Exclusive Rights. You Eliminate EA, Make the Xbox Audiance much Larger, and perhaps even end Sony, and Nintendo. I mena EA is pretty much the bread and butter of the Wii and all of a sudden it disappears?While I doubt a sale will ever happen just because of the scope of the transaction, I mean geez EA bought Bioware alone for 1 billion dollars! thats just 1 developer of dozens inside of EA. It sure is an interesting rumor to surface up to speculate on. Quite fun actually.

lol MS could pay EA cash, and it will be pocket change. I hope MS buys EA, then it would put those guys over at EA to work. MS has been a VERY good company when it comes to games, i.e. Halo, GOW...all the power to them.

that would suck both companies make great games but they havnt tried to make madden or anything yet

I think it would be awesome because then they could FINALLY make the MVP baseball series again because it would be a 1st party game! That would rock!

Have you played Madden 10? It's awesome! And personally, I thought Madden 05 was MUCH better than NFL 2K5. Madden may not change as much as it might if there was an NFL 2K(insert number) each year, but I honestly don't think it would change that much. Look at APF 2K7... it was mediocre at best and that's not just me saying that, a lot of the 2K fanboys in the sports forum even said that. That's just my opinion though. Like they say, different strokes for different folks.
