Halo 3: ODST is the first Halo game that I have ever played, and I have to say I like it.
I like the single-player campaign so much that I have already bought Halo 3, and I am thinking about getting Halo 1 %26 2.I would say to anyone that if you like shooters but never played a Halo game before then play Halo 3: ODST as it seems more like any other shooter game then it does a Halo game. Well for you ghstbstr, if you are enjoying the Halo universe this much, you should do yourself a favor and get the other Halo games. You'll appreciate the story of ODST that much more. Especially Halo 2, since the events at New Mombasa in ODST run parallel to what happens in Halo 2.

I'm not going to lie, I got more enjoyment out of ODST than Halo 3 itself. Don't get me wrong, I loved Halo 3, but ODST was a ton of fun.

I love all the Halo games (#2 the least), but there's something about ODST that pulls me in much deeper than any of the previous titles in the franchise.
Well, I'm glad you like it. I myself am an avid Halo fan. From what I've heard, ODST isn't a bad game to get started on. It's nice to hear that you're considering getting the older games too. Most people that are new to the series just get Halo 3 and call it quits. I can tell you from experience that you won't be dissapointed by the older ones.
