Im having a problem with my 360 lately. With certain games, when I load up my 360, it goes straight to the Dashboard and has ''Open Tray''. After I open it %26 close it, it starts reading, then goes back to ''Open Tray''. Ive googled the problem, %26 none of the fixes have seemed to help. It happened with a pre-owned copy of Chromehounds, which I took back %26 got replaced with a different game. It is now happening with Dead Rising, which I bought today, brand new.The thing is, I was able to play the games for a period of time. After I turned off the 360, then came back to it later, it started happening. Does anyone have a solution other then 'send your 360 to microsoft' or 'return the game'?Close Tray - Reading - Open Tray.. I nee ...
I had the same problem with my 360 a few months back. I sent it back and I was told the disc tray wasn't working properly with the 360 that's why the games wouldn't work at times. I've brought back a number of games and even new copies did the same thing. I say just send It in, It's better to just have a new one then to deal with that all the time.Close Tray - Reading - Open Tray.. I nee ...
I dont know if its the 360. It works perfectly with all my games except those two.
I'd say If any of your friends have those two games borrow them for a second to check them out and after try your game at their house.
I had that problem before. I had mines fixed at a rlectronic store that fix computers. It is the drive. It is burning out. Mine went all the way where I could not play any game. Just XBLA games that were on my hdd. I say find someone who can replace the drive. It is quicker than returning it to microsoft.
Mmm, I finally get a game worth playing and it stuffs up. Unfortunatley, the 360 has the good games -.-
What a coinsidence. Mine was acting the same way. Although with mine I would power up my Xbox and the light power light (the light in the middle of the ring that indicates that the disk tray is opening/closing) would stay on forever, my disk tray wouldn't even open. One time when I powered it on, it gave me the ''ring of death'' and never again. But I called 1-800-4-myxbox and set it up for repair, the box is on its way as we speak or type lol. Any way I'm glad I can vent this off, I was really looking up to playing Bioshock when it comes out but oh well!!!!!! = Signature
Ok. Ive figured out a quick fix, though I will still end up sending it for repairs it seems. I took a 30 minute break %26 gave it time to cool down. Dead Rising is working perfectly again. So I either have to play Dead Rising first, or take a break after I stop playing a game. A pain, but bareable, and it only seems to happen with certain games.Edit: *sigh* I went to login so I could start playing %26 after loging in, a message came up saying that I needed to log in to be able to save data. On my third try to log in, I selected another option which took me to the dashboard. Open Tray problem again..
I am having the same problem..... I live in pakistan and i cant even return the console back to Microsoft.......
Weird solution I found to this problem was t try the game without having a profile signed in and it worked perfectly, I have no idea what that means. Anyway then it's just a simple matter of signing in a profile when the game has started
