Yup, this was posted on the ODST sticky and it's free for Gold members and I'm not sure how long will it stay free, maybe just for today because of the ODST launch.

Im not a big halo fan but i did download that andits nice, but since it was free couldnt pass it up.
My gold ran out today, so I just missed it! I usually find the free premium themes are a drop in quality, though.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2...Worth the w ...
I rented Ultimate Alliance 2 on Tuesday and I have to say I'm not amazed by it...It doesn't seem to be much different than the first game. But I will say that the Stan Lee cameo was pretty cool. Maybe they will come out with some DLC letting you control Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto? That would make my dayMarvel Ultimate Alliance 2...Worth the w ...

I have a PERFECTLY working 360 pro, I've had it since 06 and it's NEVER had the RROD.I called gamespot today to find out how much trade in value it had to go toward the elite...guess what...?? 70.00 FREAKIN BUCKS!!! I'd rather throw it out of the widow and buy a brand new 360 then trade it in to those criminals. Thats no big surprise. When i traded mine in to GAMECRAZY not Gamestop i got 120.00 for towards the purchase of my Elite Console. I was lucky on that opne and knew not to go to gamestop cause as u stated they are criminals.

I posted my old one on craigslist for $120 and was sold within half an hour. Be resourceful, you will earn more.
And they will turn around and sell it for $150, too.Gamestop are crooks, I tell ya. Sell it yourself. Cut out the middle-man. Little extra work will get you a good $50-75 more.
I'd rather sell it on ebay for double or more of the price they gave you.
yeah gamestop are crooks. its funny i traded in tiger woods 10 for 25 bucks. a went a few days later to pick up ODST and i saw my twoods game selling for 55. hah i could tell it was mine becase the case had this one scratch, so i made a scene in my gamestop and got kicked out lolzzorezz
And here I thought this would be a ODST rant, but I do agree, it is a rip-off, but then again, so are most trade in values.
i havent traded anything in for yearsssss because of the major ripoff. I would rather keep my hard earned games and let collect dust than trade to them.

Sell your system online through Craigslist, but for games try goozex.com. I just started using this, It is pretty sweet. You get full value on your games, check it out!

Oh i have thoughts alright! Gamestop is the devil! They make more money on trade-ins than the actual developer makes just selling the freakin' game. This is why the gaming industry is at gamestop's throat right now. If the developers were involved in the trade-in process, that would mean more money for them, and better games for us. But No! Gamestop sits in the middle like a leech on society effectively destroying the gaming industry by sucking up every last bit of consumer spending that should be going directly into the developer's pockets.
honestly you're probably going to be hard pressed to get anymore than 70 for it, unless you go through craigslist and pray to god that the person doesnt ask when it was made, since its probably outside the 3 year RROD warranty if it was manufactured in 06.

Halo ODST: Should I Buy It?
Besides Firefight and the fact that you are more venerable, what is different about it? I know it is a new story and everything, but Halo isn't something I buy for the story simply because it is never that good. And isn't multiplayer the exact same with some new maps? I just want to know what they fixed/changed or something new they added besides the above mentioned.Halo ODST: Should I Buy It?

And like I said, I think the fact that all maps are included is part of the reason for the 60$ price tag. If I were you, I would give it a rent because A) The campaign is only 6-7ish hours long, and B) There is no match making for Fire fight mode.

ok, ive played prolly 7 hrs of mass effect, and so far I have been playing mostly with urdnot wrex andtali WIth tali i have her pistols preally high, and electronics really high and i plan on increasing her machinist skills to make her nearly indestructable with her shields..with wrex i have him sufficent in assault rifles, warp is full, and throw is pretty high..oh yah by the way i am a soldier...the reason I chose the 2 is because i kept getting wooped in combat so I wanted a gu with pretty good biotics, and tali who is great in tech, and wrex can still shoot pretty good. Is this a pretty good team? Also what skills do you guys recomend..so far I really like warp, and throws good to get people away from cover, but what other skills should I increase alot, and should I keep this team, or substitue someone else?which npc ally is best for soldier in ma ...

Luckily, I never had to pay a dime in repair costs, and I've been very impressed with the way Microsoft has stood behind their product, shoddy as it has been. Do you think you will buy the next-gen xbox, or have the hardware issues with the 360 irritated you to the point where they've lost you for future console purchases?Personally, I think I'll be getting the next-gen xbox if only because microsoft has been more than generous about repeatedly repairing their piece of crap product. You can download music videos and TV shows, too, if you want to pay for that sortof stuff.I have 120 GB and am satisfied with it, though. But remember, those wireless controllers run you $50 a piece (and those are the ones without the battery pack) unless you catch them on sale, and Modern Warfare 2 is going to be $60. I think it's a Zephyr, b/c it's a Fall 06 model. It RROD'ed once, so I believe that MS sent me a refurb unit (this was in Fall 07). But I'm guessing that console was also a Zephyr, since it didn't look shiny-new when I got it.
I've never had a cooler on it.
As for average...tough call. Some months I'll play 6-8 hours a day, especially during breaks, but I've also left it unplayed for a few months at a time.
Man, the 360 failure seems so random. My friend has a 2005 Zephyr 360, with a cooler, and it hasn't even gotten ONE RROD. On the other hand, I have a friend who's paid fully for three consoles in two years.I guess it just goes back to how much time you play straight..

I think my original (Nov'05) lasted a year and a half. my newer ones haven't lasted as long. On my fifth when this one comes back. =-)

umm.... it's used :D But i picked it up august 07, so quite old. Only had 1 RROD so far :P
I've had it since Jan 2007 so nearly 3 years. I don't know which chip it has either.
Nine months, falcon, no problem at all.
Without cooler, 2 hours a day [around 3 on weekends].
I think it's a Zephyr, b/c it's a Fall 06 model. It RROD'ed once, so I believe that MS sent me a refurb unit (this was in Fall 07). But I'm guessing that console was also a Zephyr, since it didn't look shiny-new when I got it.
I've never had a cooler on it.
As for average...tough call. Some months I'll play 6-8 hours a day, especially during breaks, but I've also left it unplayed for a few months at a time.
Man, the 360 failure seems so random. My friend has a 2005 Zephyr 360, with a cooler, and it hasn't even gotten ONE RROD. On the other hand, I have a friend who's paid fully for three consoles in two years.I guess it just goes back to how much time you play straight..

I've had a 360 since June 2007. But I've got RROD three times. Theres no telling if I've been getting the same system back every time or if I've gotten' a refurb at some point.
Don't remember, but I've had it replaced two times from the RROD. But it works perfectly fine now.

Got my console March 2006, by early 2008 I'd went through 4 RRODs %26 1 faulty disc drive. Then MS sent me a newly manufactured console said to have been upgraded with newer parts %26 that I wouldn't be having anymore problems. No problems since.
I think my original (Nov'05) lasted a year and a half. my newer ones haven't lasted as long. On my fifth when this one comes back. =-)
My 360 is only about 3 months old.
Seems quite pessimistic. I guess I'll have around another 6 months with my 360 and then buy a DS.

Now before all you gta iv fanboys get on me I will admit the game is good. Maybe even very good. Beut according to the reviews it's the greatest game ever made. 10/10 even on this very site. HOW? Yes the story is compelling maybe an 90/100. The music and depth are amazing 100/100. But the multiplayer is absolute trash Too chaotic, not even remotely interesting. How is this game a 10/10 when a huge part of it the multiplayer isnt even on par?gta iv most overrated game of all time

What is so great about it though in your opinion. San Andreas I felt was a HUGE step up from Vice City in terms of gameplay, it felt new. But GTA IV seems like the same old. It was a great game yes. But not top 10. I just dont see what made people go crazy about it.

Its your opinion, but many Gta fans (not fanboys) are going disagree. As we've played many Gtas beforehand.
ive played 3, vice city, san andreas (one of my favorites of all time) and iv so i dont have as much experience with gta as you i really wanted to love this game but for some reason i couldn't and i couldn't see what all the fuss was about
I like GTA 4... True it isnt the best multiplayer but look at the actual game its pretty good.

GTAIV was an incredibly high quality game. It just wasn't as fun as San Andreas. Too much focus on needless details, and not enough emphasize on mindless chaos.With the multiplayer, it was also disappointing. The potential for online in GTA is incredible, and it just wasn't taken advantage of like it could have.It was a fun game, just not nearly as good as it could have been. I've got high hopes for the next full game.

Bioshock was a great game, probably one of the best on this generation of consoles. I'm glad they finally locked in a date for the sequel. I wish they would have followed the first game's story line for the second, or did a prequel showing the time up to the war in rapture. I know the multi-player will sort of do that but a single player story driven version would have been cool.
I want to get it so bad, only bad thing is that Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction come out around those days

I already have GOW2 and Shadowrun, but i was wondering if there was any other games out there that had pretty good Bots and was fun, I don't have Xbox Live so I'm always looking for cheap imitations. I do when I play online. Well, when it was still popular. I actually played it with the Gamespot community years ago and a bunch of players did that too.
Unreal Tournament 3 has the best bots I've ever seen in a 360 game so far...
And terrorist hunt in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is pretty fun. As long as you can get used to the extremely frustratingly cheap spawn-right-behind-you-as-you-turn-around terrorists...
Unreal Tournament 3. It's a shame that it's been ignored so much. If the community was large it would easily be one of the best multiplayer games out right now. The bots are really good though, so non of that matters in regards to your question :P

I do when I play online. Well, when it was still popular. I actually played it with the Gamespot community years ago and a bunch of players did that too.
Unreal Tournament 3 has the best bots I've ever seen in a 360 game so far...
And terrorist hunt in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is pretty fun. As long as you can get used to the extremely frustratingly cheap spawn-right-behind-you-as-you-turn-around terrorists...

Recovering Gamertag Impossible
I can no longer recover my gamertag and Xbox live support can do nothing for me. I have reformatted my hard drive, cleared the cache, checked that my live windows id is still active, and everything else. Nothing is working! Every single time the recovery process gets to the very last step and says ''XBL currently unavailable, Try again later.''I have over 20,000 gamerpoints connected to that gamertag and over $100 of downloadable content. I called microsoft support a few times and eventually they just put my problem to upper management and said they would call back. Eventually they did call back and they asked me if i had fixed the problem, i said no, and they said ok and they would call later. Now they haven't called and i have no way to get ahold of them. If i call support again ill get the same low level reps that can't help me with anything.So, in conclusion if this has happened to anyone what did you do? It's a glitch in the game, so right now (at least to my knowledge) it can't be fixed. Annoying at first, but I've gotten used to just moving the points around anyway.
I had the same problem. It was annoying while my friends who were playing co-op with me didn't have the problem. Could've of been cause they weren't the host.I think the problem gets solved on the second playthrough.
You can just press X to remove the points from the skill and move them around however you want. It's a little annoying but not really that big of a deal.

Hello I was wondering how you would know a Xbox has Jasper chipset and how reliable is it now that it has been out over a year.Also my Halo ODST would go unreadable before the first mission started (I tried off of LIVE, installing to HDD and it still happened at the same place) but then I put it in my roommates Xbox and it went into the first mission (I didnt play it but it got past the part I couldnt). Also my GTA 4 froze after 20 minutes (off of LIVE). Is it my discs, HDD, or my lens? What is causing this? Someone please help.Please answer these two questions.

Yeah believe it or not I just started playing bioshock yesterday.. yeah its a shame that it took me this long to play such a great game. But I had to wonder.. Bioshock 2 is taking place in rapture again but 10 years later. I know that you can now enter the sea but what do you think or what do you know of with what they are doing to the interior of rapture itself. Are they just going to make everything look older and more flooded? How are they not going to make it feel like a complete rehash of the originals design? Do you buy games with bad reviews?
I personally don't think its worth it to spend $60 on a new game when its got an average review score below 70-75% and even at that average I still have to think hard about the purchase.....I think its nice that nowadays we have the internet and sites like metacritics to weed out the good from the bad...Do you guys still buy games without checking reviews or buy a game even though it got bad reviews? Any reason why (other than, ''I decide for myself if the game is good or not'')?Any games you truely enjoyed and can play that single game forever that received bad reviews?Do you buy games with bad reviews?

I usually read the reviews, but I seem to be kinda like a mainstream gamer, I love blockbuster games, they are usually the best of the best, and I'm only going to put my money on the best of the best, there has been some exceptions, I've purchased games just because they were cheap and there was no big release at that point, that is how I discover Army of Two, and that was amazing, anyway I usually based my choices in reviews, as I like to purchase games instead of renting I always go for the sure thing.

Smart man....plus its not like we have a shortage of great games on the system....better to put your money for something great than something mediocre
Really depends on what it has been deducted for. Glitches that affect gameplay or Being Short/Shallow are things I pay attention too. I'm not dropping 60$ on a 6 hour campaign and shallow multiplayer. After that I just use personal preference. By looking at most games I can generally tell if I'd be able to get into it.

So have you actually purchased games at full retail price that got bad reviews?
All of the time if I wanted a game and still think it looks like fun I will buy it. Not always $60 of course but I will still get it.Edit: I never even look at reviews anymore besides what technical issues the game has.

Actually I never look at one or 2 reviews, I usually check the average of tens or hundreds of reviews which gives a better assessment of the game....if you look at Godfather 2 average on Metacritics it is 65% from 72 reviews, so simply based on that, I would consider this title a rent instead of a buy...and if you had followed the same approach you wouldnt have spent that money on a crappy game :)

Again if you go based on only one or 2 reviews, you will get a very bad idea of what the critics truely think of this game...although gamespot might have given it only a 6/10 the average for that game is 79% on metacritics based on 56 reviews therefore the general consesus is that the game is good, almost great...

i try to research as best i can. i seem to be a middle of the road player, i tend to favor the underdog games a bit more. i read the reviews and check the gamescore if i can. sometimes i go against everyone and but or dont buy. sometimes ill buy a game simply for its crappy ratings as long as its cheap enough.
my new thing with buying new games is to check the download content availabe. if i have to keep paying to play i wont buy the game no matter what. halo3 comes to mind now. its almost useless on multiplayer unless you get all the map packs. it was fine to play when it first came out but now your isolated from most people. im not paying more money on top of what i paid to be able to fully play it. re5 is another one. im thinking mw2 is gonna be the same way too. im about to cancel my prepaid preorder since ive been hearing rumors of at least pay map packs with one being available on release day. ill pay the 150 for the prestige kit but not a dime more for things i should be getting for free. push comes to shove i dont need the game and i guess they dont need my money.
I will put it this way, I don't read reviews for anything, only go by trailers and gameplay videos.
I have never seen a movie in theatres that I disliked and I have never bought a game for more than it was worth.Reading someone else's opinion on something is a waste of time.

I check multipple places and then average out there reviews, but you have to also think, sometimes reviews are awful, like halo 3 didnt deserve a 9.5 or whatever it got

No I haven't played MGS4. Also so to take down a robot you will have to use an RPG? Yeah always needing to use the RPG perk wouldn't be annoying or limiting the choices you have..

where can I get some dwarfen amor/ weapons. I now you can get some from the dark brotherhood but I was stupid and killed the lucian guy when he invites you into the guild. Where can I get some else where?Dwarfen armor/ weapons in oblivion

Depending on what level you are at, enemies might drop it as loot, you may find it in chests, or certain shops in the various cities might sell it. It isn't particularly uncommon so if you look around you should be able to find some.
i havent been able to find any
im on level 13 or so and i have random badits carrying it, also ive found some in a few stores.

It says you only need to be level 6 to get dwarven armour. So just run around the wilderness and come up to any bandit camps you see. Better yet, just do some quests and you'll eventually have a full set. You probably can't get dwarven armour from shop vendors at this point.

what? Which quest did you last finish? That's almost impossible unless you're waiting to level up.
Just try to get glass weapons, those are the best and look awesome.

Then keep at it. It took me about 2.5 weeks before I finally scrounged up my first set of daedric armor.

Are you sleeping to level up? You have to find a bed and sleep to increase level, otherwise you%26#39;ll be a level 1 forever! Once your level 6 you should run into some bandits or vampires wearing it. It won%26#39;t start show up till your at least Level 5, so don%26#39;t bother looking till then.
By looking at all the messages, I realise that you all need some help finding dwarven armor. So, here's the answer. Once your the appropriate level, go to the roxy inn north of imperial city. The latest armor you have unlocked will be on Rigmor. She will have a full set including a longsword. There will be an imperial guard patroaling inside of the roxy inn until 12:00. Defeat her however you choose. WARNING!!! If you want go get daedric armor wait until you are level 20 to defeat her due to the fct tht she will hve a full set then. Hope this helps you.
To anyone reading this who somehow didn't already know: This might spoil the game for you, but everything in Oblivion is scaled. That is, monsters and items appear according to your level. Raise your level to 15 or 20 and then find some bandits at a camp, they usually were Elvin and Dwarven
I think it's level dependent. But I'm no expert at this game.
